It's been 14 years since Multiplay first started hosting LAN events, the first being hosted in a Hotel in Southhampton in 1994 which held only 20 people!. After this the I-Series was launched in 1999 which was the first LAN at the Newbury Race course in 2001. After many years of hosting the I-Series at the newbury race course which holds a massive 1,500 (BYOC) gamers just is not enough for multiplay they feel its time to advance to the next level.


i34 has now begun with it potentially seeing roughly 2,000 BYOC spaces in one massive hall at the new location of Stoneleigh park, which will break the record at i33 of 1,610 gamers attending. This new location will take LAN events to the next step not only being able to host a whooping 2,000 gamers it also has over 400 beds in the on-site hostel. Next door to the BYOC hall is a massive 3,500 square metre exhibition hall, where we will see the gaming finals and of course the latest news on gaming.

Team-Coolermaster have our very own exhibition booth this time round - located at Stand 22 and 25, which will house 10 computers provided by our sponsor Cyberpower that will be used for their tournament play by our players. Attendees can come and spectate our players and are free to of course see all the latest and greatest hardware, not to mention take part in some huge prize give aways!

High stakes as usual at the event due to prize money, which means we have a large presence at the event in Call of duty 4, Counter-Strike Source, Battlefield 2 tournaments and we will be participating in the Counter-Strike 1.6 tournament in order to qualify for an all expenses paid trip to the 2008 World Cyber Games!

The thirty two teams who will be contesting the SteelSeries Continental Challenge Cup have been selected. The selections are of course based on the respective finishing positions of the teams within the CCL section of this event. Teams will no doubt be pleased to see that the medals have been dished out and added to all your accounts for the teams finishing in the top three places in each division.

Team Coolermaster.CSS have been placed in group g along with three other teams who fight for the place in the single elimination cup which wiill take place over the next few weeks and the winner will recieve some Steelseries goodies! We are currently top of our group after taking a win over Dalay Lamas!



Other teams which are competing include Perfect eSports, Team CMAX.gg, Reason-Gaming and Mousetek!
