Multiplay to run CS:S and COD4 Tournaments at i35!

04.09.2008 - 14:02 | Posted By: Whitley

Counter Strike: Source

The Counter-Strike: Source tournament has been Multiplay's most popular prize competition for as long as anyone can remember - the source community has proven itself to be one of the main supporters of the i-Series over the years.

Thus, because the source community is so awesome, Multiplay are more than happy to put up €12,000 in prizes (in addition to the €36,000 they have put up since last year!)

Call of Duty 4

Call of Duty 4 exploded onto the i-Series scene at i32 and since then it hasn’t looked back. The second largest game area at the LAN, this popular first-person shooter has been won by United Kingdom Team Dignitas at i32 & i33, with Belgium LowLandLions winning i34!

PCGamer Showdown: Final Standings

02.09.2008 - 01:16 | Posted By: kirkyboy2k

This evening the PCGamer Showdown qualification tournament finshed, after France emuLate! have sadly taken a default lose in the lower bracket final against Czech Republic Reason Gaming. This of course means that Czech Republic Reason Gaming will be joining United Kingdom London Mint for the winning prize of free entry at the PC Gamer Showdown event at the end of September and a pass through the group stages. Our team, although only recently recruited had a final finishing position of 5/6, so they like many others will be fighting it out at the event through the group stages.

According to many sources the upper bracket final between these two is unlikely to be played, with nothing to gain or at stake for both teams.

Final Standings

United Kingdom London Mint (qualified)
Czech Republic Reason Gaming (qualified)

France emuLate!

4 Denmark Aversion
5/6 United Kingdom ZEN
5/6 Sweden Team Coolermaster
7/8 Austria Team 123
7/8 United Kingdom Imageless 2

500 gamers will battle it out at the awesome Stoneleigh Park venue on 27th and 28th of September in a bid to get their hands on thousands of pounds worth of cash prizes. Teams will be able to win big cash prizes including: Team Fortress 2 (£15,000) Counter-Strike: Source (£10,000) Call of Duty 4 (£5,000) and World of Conflict (£5,000).

Good luck to our team and all those attending the event.

After taking a small break from the Counter Strike Source scene after our previous squad decided to call it a day we have decided to pick up the swedish based side Sweden Pause Gaming who have been surprising a lot of teams and also making large dents already!

The team is fairly new within the scene after being together for about a month however they are very motivated and have a huge amount of potential which they are currently showing online. The team made it through to the Playoffs of the PCGamer online Qualifers after beating United Kingdom Reason Female, Hungary RevolutionEA and our old CSS Squad 16-9, however suffered a loss vs France emuLate! of 7 - 16 on de_train. Which meant that they were put through to the playoffs where they were knocked out by Norway Aversion and France emuLate! again this time a close match of 10-16.

Team Coolermaster.CSS Lineup:

Sweden Mazzah (Manager)

Sweden boomse
Sweden Fudzx
Sweden glos
Sweden pkd
Sweden cadden

Statement United Kingdom Dan "rapture" Humphrey, Team Coolermaster Manager: "After watching them play online and spending time talking with the guys on vent I knew they are the team we want to represent Team Coolermaster. Even though the team has only been together for a short time they have so much potential to become a top team and I feel that they have the dedication and skill to get there! We will be working closely with them over the next months to help progress and grow."

arrow Originally formed in January 2005 under the name of eSourceUK it has evolved from being a simple set of friends playing for fun, to a distinguished full scale eSports organisation, with dedicated players from all over the United Kingdom, Europe and the World.

In November 2007 it was agreed that we would soley represent our head sponsor - Coolermaster. It is a pleasure to carry their well known and successful brand into the competitive eSports arena.
